How does mistakes help us?

According to me, Mistakes make us expert and powerful. They act as a learning curve. If you doesn't make any mistake, you will never get successful in your life. To explain, how does mistakes help us, i will give you an example: Recently i went to essay competition, but it was my first competition. There were lot of students in this competition. Some were in class 8th, 9th, 10, 11th or 12th, but i tried my best. In writing i make lot of mistakes. I don't came 1st, but i got lot of exposure and experience by this competition. This exposure and experience will help me to reduce fear and decrease avoidance. Whenever i will go to next competition i don't make such type of mistakes that i had made in previous competition. By making mistakes i learnt something. If i don't had made mistakes i will never try to do better.

What is main motive? The main motive is that "Without Making Mistakes You Will Never Grow".
